FAQs

Which browsers can I use?

Use desktop Chrome, Brave or Microsoft Edge. Mac users can follow the same guide in those browsers. This ZIP doesn't install in Safari or Firefox. Opera and Vivaldi may work, but Tinycrowd hasn't been tested in them yet.

How do I update the beta?

Download the new ZIP, extract it, and replace the contents of your existing Tinycrowd folder. Open your browser's Extensions page and click Reload on Tinycrowd, then refresh your chart tabs. Keep the folder in the same place and don't remove the extension first, so your local profile stays with you.

It says the manifest is missing.

Choose the extracted folder that contains manifest.json, not the ZIP or a folder above it. On Windows, use Extract All first. On macOS, double-click the ZIP to extract it.

I installed it, but where is my crew?

Open an actual token chart, rather than the site's homepage, then refresh the tab. Click Tinycrowd in your browser's extensions menu. Check that the extension is enabled and allowed on that site. If you closed it with the X, clicking its browser icon opens it again.

Can I use my phone or a work browser?

Mobile browsers aren't supported. A managed work or school browser may block Developer mode; use a personal desktop browser that allows unpacked extensions.

Why Developer mode? What can Tinycrowd access?

The beta is installed outside the Chrome Web Store, so the browser needs Developer mode to load its folder. Tinycrowd saves your profile locally, adds chat to supported chart sites, and connects to its chat service. Room messages and shared photos are visible to other people in that room. It does not ask for your wallet keys.

How do I remove it?

Open your browser's Extensions page, find Tinycrowd, and choose Remove. This clears the profile saved by the extension on this browser. Choosing the same name later won't recover the old profile.
